Please Note: This event is ONLY open to High School students.
The Diversity Symposium will be a day-long event focused on advancing the conversation of diversity, equity and inclusion. Students will attend interactive workshops, panel discussions and hear from Keynote Speaker, Delaney Hiegert about the importance of being a change agent. The Diversity Symposium is free and open to parents and students. Lunch and workshop materials will be provided.
We are honored to welcome Newman University alumnus Delaney Hiegert. Delaney was a founding member of Kaleidoscope, which was Newman’s first LGBT+ organization. After graduating from Newman, Hiegert was accepted into law school at Kansas University in Lawrence, KS.
